Flipkart has elevated executives Manish Kumar, Anand Lakshminarayanan, Ranjith Boyanapalli, Ravish Kumar, Sinha and Ravi Iyer to senior vice presidents, the business announced in an email sent by Flipkart Group’s CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy on May 31, ET Bureau reported.

“We have been able to create a lot of leaders internally and that practice continues,” an anonymous senior executive at Flipkart told ET Bureau. “It’s Kalyan’s style of grooming people he has worked with and taking along his most trusted lieutenants.”

Since May 22, Flipkart has been delivering all goods to green, orange, and red zones, it announced on Facebook. The business was previously unable to deliver non-essentials to red zones but regulations have eased during the extended lockdown.

The pan-India lockdown is currently scheduled to run until June 30 for containment zones, the Times of India reported. As the country enters phase five of lockdown, the central government’s Ministry of Home Affairs announced that the first of a three-phase ‘unlock plan’ has begun on Monday. Religious places and shopping malls are scheduled to open on June 8 as part of the plan.
