Flipkart promotes Rishi Vasudev to head of fashion and lifestyle at Myntra- Jabong

Flipkart has promoted its fashion department head Rishi Vasudev to an additional role as head of fashion and lifestyle at Myntra and Jabong and a formal announcement is expected in ten days’ time.

Rishi Vasudev will now be responsible for the fashion and lifestyle categories at Flipkart’s two fashion e-commerce portals, Myntra and Jabong. Sources aware of the development told ET Bureau that Vasudev will now head fashion at all three of the businesses.

Myntra and Jabong have experienced a number of management changes recently and this development comes only a week after Flipkart entrusted the role of head of Myntra-Jabong to Amar Nagaram. The business’ had recently seen its CEO Ananth Narayanan resign at the start of the year.

A source told ET Bureau: “Amar will head product, tech and customer experience, Rishi will head fashion and lifestyle at Myntra and Jabong.”

The two will report to the CEO of Flipkart, Kalyan Krishnamurthy, according to the source. However, Flipkart has issued no statement on the matter yet.

Vasudev, formerly a CEO of Calvin Klein India, follows Ayyappan R and Nagaram as the third executive to take over a role at Myntra-Jabong from Flipkart since the business’ acquisition by US-business Walmart last year.

Vasudev was made senior vice president at the business last month according to his LinkedIn profile.
