With this partnership, Flipkart is looking to bridge the gap between the masses and the fashion industry. Vogue will help Flipkart customers select the latest fashion trends from the platform by showcasing over 10,000 looks curated by its experts.

Through this initiative, Flipkart wants to make fashion more accessible to customers across the country and expects sales to rise especially in the tier 2, 3 cities.

Speaking about the collaboration, Rishi Vasudev group head for fashion at Flipkart in a statement said, “Flipkart’s tie-up with Vogue India will allow consumers to add depth and more nuanced angles to their choices through personalised, curated looks. This initiative will help bridge the gap between the masses and the best of the fashion industry, ensuring that fashion is no longer just the domain of a select group of people.”

“Through our association with Vogue India, our customers will be able to discover new products based on their personal style. By partnering with them, we hope to democratise high-street fashion in the country and make it more accessible to millions of Indians."

Flipkart, which also owns fashion portals Myntra and Jabong, is one of the dominant players in the fashion e-commerce space in India witnessing a growth of 50 percent since its launch in 2013. Flipkart and its fashion subsidiaries currently hold a 70 percent market share of the country’s online fashion market.
