Flipkart launches campaign with Alia Bhat, Ranbir Kapoor to boost fashion segment
E-commerce marketplace Flipkart has launched the sixth edition of its 'India Ka Fashion Capital' campaign featuring Bollywood’s actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Flipkart has gone with the theme of 'Wear the Next' for this campaign, aimed at inspiring customers across the country to buy the latest fashion products from Flipkart.
The campaign will run on television and digital platforms for eight weeks. The e-tailer is also partnering with brands and onboarding new sellers to strengthen its fashion vertical.
Commenting on the campaign, Nishit Garg, vice president at Flipkart Fashion, in a statement said: “Consumers today are fashion-conscious, value-seeking and aspire to own the latest celebrity fashion trends. We believe in addressing these needs meaningfully by collaborating with the best in the industry and are constantly onboarding new brands, sellers, and partners to enhance the customer shopping experience.”
“Through our latest campaign featuring Ranbir and Alia, we want to inspire consumers across the country to explore the latest trends and create their style that they have always wished for,” he added.
Flipkart, which is backed by U.S.-based Walmart, sees huge growth potential in the fashion segment and looking to further expand its fashion portfolio through moving to acquire manufacturing and distribution rights for the international denim and casual wear brands.
