Flipkart launches SuperCoin Pay in over 5,000 partner stores

E-commerce giant Flipkart on Monday launched SuperCoin Pay in over 5,000 partner stores to enable customers to pay for goods using SuperCoin rewards points earned shopping on Flipkart, according to an Indo-Asian News Service.

Shoppers will be able to pay up to 100% of their bill with SuperCoins by scanning a QR code at one of the partner stores through the Flipkart app for mobile phones. The app now has a dedicated section which features its partner stores titled ‘Rewards store’ in its ‘SuperCoin’ segment. 
 
“Over the past year, SuperCoin has developed into a highly successful rewards programme, with over 10 billion SuperCoins earned by millions of Flipkart customers,” said Flipkart’s vice president for growth and monetisation, Prakash Sikaria, IANS reported.

“Building on this success and with the intention to create a larger and more inclusive ecosystem, we are thrilled to announce the launch of SuperCoin Pay.”
 
Businesses that are in partnership with Flipkart for the initiative come from sectors including beauty, health and wellness, fashion, travel, beverage, food, and groceries, among others. The initiative covers both online and brick-and-mortar stores. 

SuperCoin Pay is an extension of Flipkart’s SuperCoin Exchange where customers can exchange Flipkart SuperCoin rewards points for rewards points at other partner businesses.
