Flipkart’s Rishi Vasudev will leave the business next year - Flipkart

Rishi Vasudev has decided to quit e-commerce giant and US-based Walmart-owned Flipkart group after leading the business’ fashion segment for the past five years, sources told ET Retail. Vasudev’s decision to leave the business follows the recent departures of chief financial officer Dipanjan Basu and Myntra CEO Ananth Narayanan.

“Rishi Vasudev, Group Head- Fashion, has decided to leave Flipkart to pursue opportunities outside the company,” a Flipkart spokesperson said in an emailed response to ET Retail. “He has played a key role in building and nurturing the fashion category at Flipkart over the past five years, and more recently, has partnered with the Myntra leadership to bring synergies across the group.”

Vasudev was promoted to senior vice president at Flipkart earlier this year, working for Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy. The executive also took over Narayanan’s role managing Myntra after the latter quit the business. Before joining Flipkart group, Vasudev was the CEO of Calvin Klein in India.
