FitFlop opens new store in Chennai

Flip flop brand FitFlop has opened a new exclusive brand outlet in Chennai. Located within Phoenix Marketcity mall, the store houses the brand’s full selection of comfort-driven flip flop designs. 

“Fitflop now open at Phoenix Chennai,” Phoenix Marketcity Chennai announced on Facebook. “Shop now for some amazing kicks!”
 
The store has an open plan layout in FitFlop’s signature brand colours of red and white. Flip flops line the walls and are displayed on central islands throughout the store for a modern, open plan feel. The store opened with a wide selection of open shoes for both men and women for the summer season.

A year ago, footwear retail chain Metro Brands Limited opened FitFlop’s first exclusive store in the Indian market in the city of Chennai. In early 2022, Metro Brands signed a strategic partnership with Fitflop to exclusively retail and distribute the brand in India across various platforms and channels. The brand is also available in India on a range of multi-brand platforms, including Myntra, and in Metro and Mochi stores.
 
Entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore launched FitFlop in 2007 with its first design: ' Walkstar 1' flip flops. The brand promotes flip flops as both comfortable and good for health and has biomechanists David Cook and Darren James to create the shoes' signature 'Microwobbleboard' midsole unit, designed to offer support.
