FirstCry aims to reach 450 stores by year-end

India’s largest omni-channel platform for kids Firstcry is on an expansion spree and will be opening up as many as 70 stores across the country.

Firstcry is looking to close the year with 450 stores and focus on tier 1, 2 and 3 cities for its expansion.
 
It recently entered the city of Srinagar with its first outlet at Rawalpora which is spread across an area of 1,800 sq ft. The store houses store than 200 brands across 10 categories.

“FirstCry.com has already opened more than 380 stores across Tier I, II and III cities and aims to reach 450 by 2019. The industry forecast of a heavy boom in the retail market and increasing demand for baby & kids products make Srinagar an important city in terms of expansion for FirstCry.com,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

Firstcry has already earned the tag of being Asia’s largest online store and currently expanding offline to further strengthen its hold over the children’s wear market.
