Fila opens store in Kochi’s Lulu Mall
The Italian sportswear brand Fila has opened a store in Kochi’s Lulu Mall, as it continues its drive to reach an India store count of 100 in the coming five years.
Fila, which is licensed in India through a partnership with Batra Group’s Cravatex Brands Limited, continues its retail expansion with a new store in Kochi. The store opened its doors at the end of last month and is located in Lulu Mall Kochi, one of the largest malls in India.
Fila is currently focusing on its India presence. The brand recently collaborated with VegNonVeg for a sneaker collaboration that launched at the VegNonVeg flagship store and has worked with other Indian brands in the past including Norblack Norwhite.
Fila aims to reach a total of 100 brick-and-mortar stores in India within the next five years. For the first phase of expansion, the brand will concentrate on metro locations and then plans to open in mini-metros and Tier 2 locations in phase two. Fila also plans to continue to expand its presence in shop-in-shops across the country.
Fila plans to launch a dedicated e-commerce store for the India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. The region is marked as “coming soon” on its international e-commerce site.
