The ongoing business to business trade show aims to give Indian businesses a platform from which to grow their retail network in Japan. The fair focuses on accessories, jewellery, handicrafts, and homeware and around 200 Indian companies are currently taking part.

The event has been organised by the Japan India Industry Promotion Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and features a number of export promotion organisations comprising the Apparel Export Promotion Council, the Handloom Export Promotion Council, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts. The Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan, the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India, and the International Garment Fair Association are also present at the trade show.

The event is in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the Leave No One Behind rhetoric. The SDGs, set by the UN in 2015 for 2030, aim to eliminate poverty and foster development.
