Festival of Hope holds 13th charity fashion show in New Delhi

The Festival of Hope Foundation held its 13th runway show to celebrate and raise awareness about cancer survivors on November 27 at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in New Delhi in association with the JD Institute of Fashion Technology.

A group of cancer survivors and celebrities walked the runway in New Delhi on Wednesday to showcase a range of occasion wear and raise awareness about early detection and prevention of cancer, the Festival of Hope Foundation announced on Facebook.  

Shital Bajaj was the event’s jewellery partner and provided fine jewellery items for the runway and womenswear designers Reynu Tandon and Nikhita Tandon provided opulent traditional wear for the models.

“It is inspiring and a privilege to be associated with an event like this,” Nikhita Tandon told the Times of India at the event. “We salute the spirit of cancer survivors.”

Celebrity models included Anca Varma, Nischint Singh, Mukta Chopra, Sonali Bhasin, Payal Jaiswal, Meenakshi Dutt, Dolly Jain, Bela Madan, Pooja Gogia, Neeli Jain, and Neena Verma. The Festival of Hope Foundation partnered with the JD Institute of Fashion Technology for the event and its media partners were Shoes & Accessories and MillionaireAsia. 

The event also featured a panel discussion by Kanchan Kaur, Blossom Kochhar, Shekhar Narang, and Poonam Seth. The runway show was followed by an after party. Shivani Varma gave a special performance and anchor Sonali Gupta led the event.
