FDCI to organise ‘My Handloom My Pride’ fashion event
The Fashion Design Council of India in collaboration with the DC (Handlooms) and Haryana Tourism will organise a fashion event on April 2 in Haryana.
The fashion event has been titled ‘My Handloom My Pride’ and will be part of the 35th Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, Jammu & Kashmir will be the chief guest while Upendra Prasad Singh, secretary, ministry of textiles will be the guest of honour at the event.
The event will see participation by 11 designers who will showcase their creations promoting handlooms and saris from regions like Assam, Benaras, Bihar, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
The 11 participating designers include: Abraham & Thakore, Akaaro, Asha Gautam, Jahnabi Phookan, Madhu Jain, Manish Tripathi, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Samant Chauhan, Shruti Sancheti, Suket Dhir, and Taani by Tanira Sethi.
