Sustainable fabric Liva will be the associate sponsor for the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week. The eco-friendly fabric will promote sustainability at the fashion event. The five- day event will begin in the national capital Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from March 13.

"FDCI is forging ahead to take fashion on a greener path with a generation of new-age eco-warriors. We believe, sustainability and conscious consumption is the need of the hour," FDCI president Sunil Sethi said in a statement.

Rajeev Gopal, global chief sales and marketing officer at Birla Cellulose added, “Sustainability is a continuous journey towards the well-being of all stakeholders and conserving nature. We have taken this step of associating with FDCI to support responsible fashion across the value chain.”

Birla Cellulose launched Liva, the lone branded viscose fabric in India, in 2015. It currently caters to the needs of apparel brands like Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, Fashion Big Bazaar, Lycra, Spandex, Zara and H&M, among many others.
