FDCI designer stockroom sale event to see over 100 designers

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) sale event ‘Designer Stockroom’ will see participation by over 100 designers from across India. The fourth edition of the sale event will be held from July 31 to August 2.
 

The participating designers will be offering up to 70 percent discount on their collections. FDCI will use technology for its sale event and create a one-stop portal for participating designers on its website, where customers will be directed to the ‘Designer Stockroom’ section on the designer's website.
 
Commenting on the sale event, FDCI chairman Sunil Sethi in a statement said: “We received many queries on the stockroom sale as it has been a huge crowd puller for the last three editions. Despite the challenges the fashion world is facing at this time, we wished to get the momentum back by initiating sale, through the Designer Stockroom online.

“The sale will help cash-strapped businesses and aid them in modernising their business to enable an e-commerce portfolio, which is the future of fashion,” he added.
 
The FDCI is also planning to host the India Couture Week and India Fashion Week in the digital space later this year to help the country’s designers restart business and give them a platform to showcase their collections.
