Fashion students from Pearl Academy to showcase at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI

Fashion students from Pearl Academy will showcase their designs at the on-ground edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) on March 12.

The showcase titled ‘Heart to Earth’ will see 32 students from across Pearl Academy’s Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai campuses in India present one unique ensemble each.

The show is part of the FDCI x Pearl Academy ‘First Cut’ initiative which gives young, aspiring designers, and fashion students a platform to showcase their creations at leading fashion weeks.

Speaking about the students’ showcase, Aditi Srivastava, president Pearl Academy in a statement said, ‘First Cut’ is a definitive platform for the final year students of Pearl Academy to launch their graduating collections in key industry platforms like these. Our students across campuses will showcase their impressive collections rooted in the theme “Heart to Earth” by making individual statements on how fashion is caring.”

Sunil Sethi, chairman of FDCI added, “The students will be tomorrow’s changemakers and our long-standing partnership with Pearl Academy is a testament to that belief. As a platform, we have always believed in fostering creativity and providing a forum for up-and-coming designers to showcase their works to the design and fashion community. We are excited to see these talented students showcase their creations.”

Lakme Fashion Week X FDCI is currently under at the Jio Gardens in the city of Mumbai and concludes on March 12.
