Fashion platform Saritoria raises $500K from angel investors

Pre-loved fashion platform Saritoria has raised $500K (Rs 4 crore) from a host of angel investors to make deeper inroads in the resale fashion market in India.

The brand will utilise the funds to enhance its technology which includes a revamp of its website, and launch of mobile app.

Additionally, it will also use the funds raised to expand its consumer base in core markets of Mumbai and Delhi as well as to expand in other markets within India.

Commenting on the funds raised, Pernia Qureshi, co-founder creative director of Saritoria in a statement said, “It is so exciting and encouraging to see people we admire believe in Saritoria and be this forthcoming in investing with us. We have a shared vision of revolutionizing the luxury fashion space in India and have built a beautiful and powerful community of angels to take us one step closer to our goal.”

Shehlina Soomro, co-founder added, “I am extremely proud of what the team at Saritoria has achieved at such an early MVP stage. I’m even more excited for the impact that can be made now with funding - we’re looking forward to improving the tech experience for our valuable customers as well as expanding our reach within India.”

Shehlina Soomro founded Saritoria in July 2021 along with fashion entrepreneur and designer Pernia Qureshi. The platform specialises in luxury labels and features clothing and accessories by leading domestic, international luxury brands.
