Sujayath Ali, one of the founders of Voonik, said, “We're launching VoonikTV at a time when Indian consumers are rapidly moving towards video-only consumption on social media. Now consumers can actually buy straight from a video they are watching on Voonik app. Not only this, anyone be it a blogger, a student or a housewife, who has something interesting to tell, can upload a video on VoonikTV and earn from the commission of sale. We are happy to be pioneering video shopping in India with the launch of VoonikTV."

The aim is to have a large numbers of videos every day created by a mix of vloggers, designers, and celebrities. Customers will be able to buy straight from the videos they watch on Voonik’s mobile app and the video’s creators will earn commission when merchandise in their video sells, giving them an incentive to create the content. With the explosion of online shopping in India, Voonik is finding a way to further push the envelope and give their customers and fans a way to earn money themselves whilst getting fresh content for their app and website.

Voonik is a fashion e-commerce site that was founded in 2013 and is based in Bengaluru. The business was founded by Sujayath Ali and Navaneetha Krishnan. Voonik was first launched as a mobile app and, after the app experienced success, a webstore was subsequently opened. The online store uses a 10,000 rule algorithm to enable customers to find products based on filters for skin tone and body type among others.
