Fashion etailer Voonik appoints Padode as chief data scientist in top leadership revamp

Fashion marketplace Voonik today has announced the appointment of Himmat Singh Padode as its chief data scientist. Padode will report to CEO Sujayath Ali.
 

Voonik has been revamping its top leadership team and has appointed Prabhakar Sunder, former finance head of Myntra, as CFO, the company said in a statement.
 
In his earlier stint Padode was working with Groupon in US, leading their international data team. He comes with 14 years of rich experience in data science and insights field, across companies including Essar, Religare and holds a BE & MBA degree.

“At Voonik, we are creating a technology driven fashion platform. Our key strength is our data- driven personalization model. As we grow and diversify, we want to get more precise on our personalization model and add layers and habits into the algorithm to show a highly personalised feed. Himmat has hands-on experience in data driven personalization and prediction models and is an ideal person to lead Voonik’s Data team,” Sujayath Ali, CEO & founder, Voonik.com said.
 
“Voonik is building one-of-a-kind data based fashion company. I think, adding analytics to a completely impulse purchase based fashion category, is a leap of faith. I am very excited about the prospects of the role and the culture of the company,” Padode said.
