Fashion Design Council of India partners with Pearl Academy

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) has partnered with Pearl Academy to launch a series of programmes and events over the next few months including an Idea Generator event and Designer’s Club.

“I am delighted to take forward our association with Pearl Academy to the next level,” said Sunil Sethi, President of the FDCI, announcing the partnership. Over the coming months, a series of events will be put on by the two institutions including “Idea Generator”, an event that will be hosted by the FDCI and a group of fashion industry professionals. The event will see a group of Pearl Academy students work with the professionals to forecast future fashion trends and their findings will be presented at the upcoming India Fashion Week. This will be on top India Fashion Week showcasing a selection of Pearl Academy’s graduating students’ designs as it has done for the past two years.

A “Designer’s Club” will also be set up by the two institutions and it will feature ten leading fashion designers and professionals who will mentor a group of Pearl Academy students over the course of   several on-campus events. A web-series entitled Brand Moods is also currently in production and it will feature three fashion designers talking to students from the academy about how to successfully grow a fashion label.
