Falguni Shane Peacock holds Diwali event in New York

Falguni Shane Peacock held a large scale fashion party in New York, US. The Indian luxury fashion brand celebrated Diwali and showcased its latest festive wear on an array of celebrities on the Upper East Side along with designs by a wide range of Indian luxury labels. 

Design duo Falguni and Shane Peacock co-hosted the Diwali event and each wore creations from their latest festive collection, Falguni Peacock announced on Instagram as she shared her ivory lehenga look. Nepalese designer Prabal Gurung, New-York based Indian designer Bibhu Mohapatra, and footwear designer Christian Louboutin all attended the star-studded event. 
 
“Diwali needed its New York moment and I, along with my co-hosts, was happy to provide this night of shining light,” said restauranteur Maneesh Goyal, who had also organised a previous Diwali event in the city, at the event, Vogue India reported.  

The ballroom of The Pierre hotel, located near Central Park, was transformed into an opulent Indian wonderland for the event. The magnitude of the event shows the growing South Asian fashion scene in New York and how cultures can come together. 
 
“Our guest list brings together New York’s movers and shakers, not always Indian, from different walks of life,” said A-Series Investments and Management CEO and co-organiser Anjula Acharia. “With each year we hope to get more diverse as more people embrace the holiday and celebrate with us.”
