On March 27, Falguni Shane Peacock will hold its first physical runway show in two years to conclude FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week, the FDCI announced on Facebook.

“The first thought that went through my mind when I heard that we’d be returning to the physical format is that we would get to come back to the backstage buzz and pre-show madness,” the brand’s co-founder and designer Falguni Peacock told Vogue India in an interview.

Known for dramatic silhouettes and glamour, the brand will mix bright hues with futuristic tailoring this season. The promotional video released for the collection by the FDCI on Instagram on March 22 shows skin-tight bodysuits in contrasting colours and gowns will certainly play a key role.

“We have always been intrigued by space and somewhere down the line, we found ourselves adding galactic elements to our work,” Shane Peacock told Vogue India. The collection’s concept is a group of people returning to earth after 50 years on another planet.

“After fifty years of inhabiting other planets, it is likely to have developed a sort of uniform from living in a colony. But when you head back to earth, you will be celebrating colours and textures in all their glory.”
