A design duo and married couple, Falguni Shane Peacock’s digital showcase began with the couple walking into a luxurious hotel, both dressed in black suits, to a backstage scene of their fashion film. Sweeping camera angles showed a 360 degree look at the models’ outfits as stylists accessorised them and the camera zoomed into a tablet to reveal a cut scene.

The collection’s title, ‘Épouse-Moi à Jaipur’, is French for ‘Marry me in Jaipur’ and highlighted the bridal theme of the collection, mixing the European tradition of white bridal wear with Indian traditional wear aesthetics. The film’s classical soundtrack added to the wedding feel.

The collection had a subtle colour palette of whites, creams, dusky pinks, and soft greys for both men and women. Pearl embellishments adorned everything; from lehengas, to sherwanis, to capelets, and plumes of white feathers added drama. Monochrome looks where the embellishments were the same colour as the textiles they decorated created an ethereal and opulent aesthetic with beaded tassels, mirror work, and chiffon.

The film concluded with some black and red looks and dim lighting to signify a move to night time. Finally, the designers posed with their showstopper and the credits rolled.
