Falguni Shane Peacock opens flagship store in Hyderabad

Luxury men’s and women’s fusion wear brand Falguni Shane Peacock has opened a new flagship store in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills. The retail space was designed by celebrity interior designer Gauri Khan. 

Falguni Shane Peacock’s new Hyderabad store measures 6,500 square feet and houses both its couture and ready-to-wear lines, the brand announced on Instagram. The store has a colour scheme of white, gold, green, and rose, with a marble floor, inlay work, and gold-framed racks. 

Khan, who conceptualised the space, had already worked with the brand to design its store in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda district and took the same opulent yet restrained aesthetic into her work for the new Hyderabad store. To bring her and the brand’s vision to life, Khan worked with architect Vasundhara Sampath of Philosophy Design Studio and Sanjeevitha Bhagwath of PMC- The Workz.

“While designing, it was important for me to make the space functional and not imposing,” said Khan, Architectural Digest India reported. “The product is the most important thing that should stand out. The idea was that the design should enhance the clothes and I love how we’ve been able to achieve that. The use of beige, tints of gold, powder pink and warm lighting along with wall mouldings create a subtle elegance. We also decorated the space minimally by using rugs, candles and soft furnishing from FSP’s own collection, and added framed photos from their Taj Mahal photoshoot.”
