Jammu Fashion Week is scheduled to hold its first-ever edition this December and put Jammu on India’s fashion map with a three-day long event. The event has already confirmed a number of celebrated Indian designers, including Hemant Trivedi, Jatin Kochhar, and Sakshi Bindra, as well as Anjali Sahni, the former model and Femina Miss India, who has recently begun her fashion design career.
Pallab Bose, Jammu Fashion Week’s Director and Anchor, told the Press Trust of India that an array of well-known designers and models are scheduled to take part in the fashion week.
“It will be the dream come true for the aspiring young models from the state as the auditions will start soon and they would also walk along with models from fashion industry at Jammu Fashion Week,” said Bose.
"This show will be instrumental in bringing Jammu on the fashion map of the country," he elaborated.
A “Mom-n-Kids Day Out” will take place as part of the show and mothers will have the opportunity to walk the runway with their children.
“The auditions… would happen shortly," said Vanita Thakur, the show’s Fashion Director, on the event’s social media.
Shivani Gupta has been confirmed as the Image and Makeover Director for the show.
