The company will be adding around 50 franchise outlets along with 30 experience centres and 20 company-owned stores during the next financial year to strengthen its retail network in the country

With the retail expansion, Fabindia is hoping for a revival of sorts in the next financial year and plans to bounce back after a poor fiscal year in 2018.

Fabindia has reported revenue of Rs 1,060 crore ($154.5 million) for the fiscal year 2017-18 witnessing a 42 percent dip in profit to Rs 59 crore.

“Along with adding stores, we are also focusing on driving our sales through e-commerce and omnichannel platforms. Right now e-commerce contributes to around a mid-single-digit to our overall revenue, and it will grow rapidly. In the coming year, we will see visibly significant growth as we go along,” Fabindia’s chief marketing officer Karan Kumar told the Financial Express

“We will add three-four experience stores at the end of this year along with 40-50 new stores,” he added.

Fabindia currently operates 291 stores across 105 cities in India. It also has 10 experience centres.
