FabIndia increases focus on sustainability with 'Fab by Nature'
Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand FabIndia has increased its focus on sustainability and launched new men’s and womenswear line ‘Fab by Nature’. The hand-crafted line has launched in its stores and online.
FabIndia’s new line is designed to promote conscious consumption, the brand announced in a press release on February 24. Fab by Nature is designed to appeal to all ages of shoppers and to help support the craftspeople that make the garments.
“At Fabindia, we believe that fashion can be both stylish and sustainable,” said the brand’s CMO and group head of brand, digital, and community Dipali Patwa in a press release. “With 'Fab by Nature | Your Choice Matters,' we're proud to showcase our commitment to artisanal craft and sustainability, while also providing our customers with a range of garments that are versatile and fashionable for occasion wear as well as everyday living.”
The line features earth toned separates with hand-embroidered Chikankari details, woven textiles, and hand-block printing. With a minimalist and versatile aesthetic, the line also includes a selection of children’s wear with comfort-driven, fusion style looks.
“Not all garments are created equal,” said Patwa. “The choices we make as consumers and as designers when it comes to the fabric, among other things, determines the product’s lifecycle. Designing in collaboration with Nature and the livelihoods of artisans who make it, makes it truly Fab!”
