FabIndia launched a Sari Exhibition on Tuesday at its Meerut store to kick off the festive season. The exhibition features the new range of sarees by the brand, which was founded in 1960. FabIndia’s festive saree collection features Banarasi sarees and is part of its men’s and womenswear Rajwada festive collection.

The brand is hosting an increasing number of interactive events in its stores, and especially in its new Experience Centres, in order to drive customer footfall offline. The brand recently held an Appliqué Workshop in its Kanpur store on September 27 and a Shibori on Stoles Workshop in its Lucknow store on September 21. Other recent events at FabIndia stores include tassel making, dot painting, tile art painting, pottery, and embroidery workshops. As online shopping continues to grow in India, offline events give shoppers a reason to make the journey to a brick-and-mortar store.

The brand aims to reach a total of between 35 and 40 Experience Centres by the end of the current financial year. FabIndia will invest Rs 3 crore ($451,000) in each centre, the brand’s managing director Viney Singh recently told the Press Trust India. The brand is also working with around 60,000 artisans in 25 Indian states to manufacture its products.
