FabIndia to promote sustainability with eco-friendly jewellery making class

Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand FabIndia is increasingly focusing on promoting sustainability and will hold an eco-friendly jewellery making event on August 27 to drive footfall at its experience centre in Kochi.

FabIndia has enlisted award-winning bamboo artist Rajeev V K to lead a bamboo jewellery making session at its Kochi store, the brand announced on Facebook. Bamboo is seen as an eco-friendly material as it is fast growing, natural, and has strong air-cleaning properties. Participants will be learn how to make their own jewellery using this sustainable material. 
 
FabIndia’s Kochi experience store is located in Panampilly Nagar. The brand is increasingly opening larger-scale experience stores which house the its full product selection while also offering interactive experiences for shoppers. Interactive elements have become more important in Indian fashion stores in the wake of Covid as brick-and-mortar retailers looked for ways to entice e-commerce enthused shoppers into physical stores. 

FabIndia also recently launched its Onam-themed festive wear collection in-stores an online. The men’s and women’s occasion wear line features ivory and metallic hues with streamlined kurtas and paired-down sarees for women and crisp cream kurtas for men.
