FabIndia opens new store in Kolkata

FabIndia opened its latest brick-and-mortar store in Kolkata’s Salt Lake district. The ethnic wear and lifestyle retailer’s spacious outlet retails clothing, homeware, and personal care goods among others.

The store opened with an inauguration ceremony complete with floral garlands and a ribbon cutting ceremony, the brand announced on Facebook. The spacious outlet has a large section dedicated to FabIndia’s homeware line with a living room and a bedroom set up to display interior styling options for its products in-store. The outlet also has dedicated sections for curtains and home décor as well as its full selection of casual and occasion wear for men, women, and children.

“Shopping has a new address in Kolkata at CA- 38, Sector 1, Salt Lake, Kolkata,” FabIndia announced on Facebook. “Come and explore everything fab at your favourite store, just in time for the festivities.”

The store also features an ‘Alteration Studio’ where shoppers can have their clothing tailored to properly fit. By adding interactive elements to its brick-and-mortar stores, FabIndia aims to drive footfalls and promote offline shopping as it pursues omni-channel expansion.

This month has also seen the brand open stores in Pune and Vishakhapatnam as it continues it brick-and-mortar expansion. FabIndia recently launched ‘FabSari’ as a festive collection of bright sarees designed for the autumn/ winter festive and wedding seasons for festival goers and wedding guests alike. The collection features a wide range of colourful weaves for a versatile, classic style.
