FabIndia opens 'Experience Centre' in Jaipur

FabIndia opened an 'Experience Centre' in Jaipur on September 29 to house the brand’s ethnic clothing selection, as well as a wellness centre, alteration studio, and interior design studio, among other features.

"We are delighted to open this Experience Centre in Jaipur as the city has a rich cultural significance,” FabIndia’s managing director Viney Singh said at the store launch on Sunday, as reported by Indo-Asian News Service.

“This format has been very well received in other cities and we look forward to making the same holistic experience… available to our customers in Jaipur."

FabIndia launched its first Experience Centre store in 2017 in Gurugram and aims to continue to expand the concept as a way to increase customer footfall.

Singh said that, "with online emerging as the new shopping trend, it is becoming increasingly difficult to bring customers to retail stores,” and that the unique features of the Experience Centre offer something that online shopping cannot.

Singh also said that the new store in Jaipur will lead to more work opportunities for production centres in Rajasthan due to increased demand.

FabIndia aims to take its Experience Centre total to between 35 and 40 during the remainder of the current 2020 financial year. The business has set aside an investment of around Rs 100 crore ($14.1 million) for its retail expansion plan.
