FabIndia has stepped into sustainable fashion with its new line Punh, the brand announced on Facebook. The collection launched on FabIndia’s dedicated e-commerce store and features a selection of sarees, kurtas, and dresses for women and shirts and trousers for men. Accessories including face masks and handbags also feature, all made with patchwork scraps of complimentary textiles.

“Sewn together to create an impact," FabIndia wrote about the collection on Facebook. “Leftover scraps are stitched to craft a garment that holds a meaning in your life. With Punh: through our conscious choices, the planet is reborn and you can be a part of it.”

The collection is part of FabIndia’s move towards a more sustainable production process. During the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021, the trend towards more sustainable fashion gained more momentum along with the increased focus on buying domestically made fashion, two movements that Punh taps into.

The brand also recently launched its ‘Dhurrie Exhibition’ from September 28 at select stores, it announced on Facebook. The curated selection of traditional woven floor coverings celebrates the traditional handicraft and its signature designs as FabIndia continues to expand its homeware collections.
