FIEO partners with International Sourcing Expo Australia 2019 to showcase Indian apparel and textiles

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations trade body has partnered with the International Sourcing Expo Australia 2019 for the seventh year in a row to promote Indian textiles and garments at the event which will take place in Melbourne from November 12 to 14, 2019.

“FIEO is committed to facilitating exposure for its members across the globe, and International Sourcing Expo Australia provides an unrivalled opportunity for this in the growing Australian and New Zealand markets,” said FIEO’s CEO and director general Ajay Sahai said in a statement, as reported by IndiaRetailing.

The FIEO is focusing on Australasia for its international marketing initiatives to promote apparel and textile exports to the region.

“India is well-regarded in Australia as a quality and reliable supplier of textiles and apparel, and with a membership body of 100,000 exporters from every goods and services sector in the country, FIEO is uniquely positioned to showcase India’s prosperous industry,” said Sahai. “We are thrilled to be returning to International Sourcing Expo Australia for the seventh time in 2019.” 

The FIEO will take part in the tenth edition of the Australian trade show and join a host of other countries. At the 2018 edition, 19 countries participated and 720 manufacturers showcased their products. The 2019 edition expects even higher numbers. 

The event, which will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will feature the Global Runway segment that launched at last year’s edition. Fashion designers will showcase their latest collections on the runway for an international buying audience. The 2019 edition expects over 4,000 trade visitors and India was the largest participating nation in the 2018 edition and promises to be a major part of the upcoming edition.
