FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week announces participating designers

The Fashion Design Council of India and Lakme Fashion Week’s upcoming phygital fashion week will feature a mix of established and up-and-coming brands with digital presentations and in-person events.  

 
The FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week’s upcoming fashion show schedule will feature “emerging talent” Bloni, Lakme Fashion Week announced on Facebook on Monday. The menswear and womenswear brand which retails from its flagship store in Delhi will showcase its latest collection on March 17.
 
Another young brand scheduled to feature in the fashion week is women’s fusion wear brand Nirmooha by Prreeti Jaiin Nainutia, which will present its showcase on March 20, Lakme Fashion Week announced. NBC Fusion, Geisha Designs, Payal Pratap, Suneet Varma, and Samant Chauhan have also been announced on the bill with more names to follow. 

Industry heavyweights including the event’s opening designer Anamika Khanna and Guari and Nainika, S & N by Shantanu and Nikhil, and Ritu Kumar are all set to feature in the joint fashion week. Footwear retailer Bata will also participate in the fashion week and provide footwear for a number of showcases. A ‘Future Couture’ segment will showcase R. Elan’s sustainable designs with a phygital presentation. 
 
The fashion week’s GenNext showcase will feature design contest winners Label Rahul Dasgupta and Raffughar by Wajahat Rather; brands which recently received mentorship from some of India’s renowned designers and industry professionals. The fashion week will run from March 16 to 21 across numerous social media platforms.
