Event Capital partners with India Bridal Fashion Week for 2019 edition
Event Capital has partnered with India Bridal Fashion Week through acquiring a substantial stake in its event format. The partnership sees the Laqshya Media Group company make its debut in the bridal fashion industry.
Event Capital has announced that it has partnered with India Bridal Fashion Week and aims to expand the event for its upcoming 2019 edition.
“We aim to promote and nurture a set of very high quality and large format event IPs, which are leaders in their conforming genres and create value for all stake holders,” said Laqshya Media Group’s managing director Alok Jalan, as reported by EE Businessworld.
“IBFW is a step in that direction. Indian weddings are known for their style and grandeur which makes wedding industry economics noteworthy; and within that bridal fashion is huge. We are keen to make significant contribution to the bridal fashion industry with this partnership.”
Vijay Singh, the founder and previous sole owned of India Bridal Fashion Week, said: “Partnership with Event Capital is a great step and we are excited to take IBFW to the next level together with our strengths combined.”
Event Capital aims to expand the fashion week to hold large format shows in multiple Indian cities this year. Dates for the 2019 event schedule will be announced in April.
India Bridal Fashion Week was launched in 2010 and runs yearly to showcase luxury bridal wear by designers including Gaurav Gupta, Gauri Nainika , JJ Valaya Jyotsna Tiwari , Mandira Wirk, Manish Arora, and Manish Malhotra among others. The event has also seen celebrities including Kangana Ranaut, Jacqueline Fernandes, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Sonakshi Sinha walk the runway. India Bridal Fashion Week also runs multi-brand bridal wear stores in Delhi, Noida, Jaipur, and Mumbai as well as an e-commerce store.
