Ethnic wear brand Neeru expands presence in South India

Leading ethnic wear brand Neeru has expanded its presence in the South Indian market with a store at Anna Nagar in Chennai. The store was inaugurated by Bollywood actress Shruti Hassan.
 

The store will house Neeru’s extensive range of clothing for men, women and children. It will also have the exclusive 1,000 handpicked silk saree collection that includes Kanjeevaram, Banarasi, Uppadas, Pochampally, Coimbatore, Gadwal, Rajkot Patola and Pure Zari sarees.
 
Neeru’s which currently has exclusive stores in cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru , Vijaywada, Tirupati, Nellore, Vizag, Guntur, Nizamabad and Dubai is planning to add another 5 stores in this financial year to boost growth..

The company’s estimated revenue for the last financial year was $2.9 million. Neeru is slowly looking to expand its base in the country to make the most of booming ethnic wear market in Indian which is currently estimated at INR 54,425 crore (USD 10.26 billion), according to a report by consulting firm Technopak.
 
Director, Neeru’s, Avnish Kumar in a statement said, “We are delighted to open our first family store in Chennai and will be expanding our presence with three more stores, taking the count to five stores."
