Eres signs up more new franchises

Eres continues to weave its web. The upscale brand of women's swimwear and underwear had another busy store opening calendar for the third consecutive year. Through the use of franchises, the brand was able to add a dozen new stores to its list of thirty locations opened by the end of 2011.

International openings included Las Vegas in April, Toronto in May and Antwerp in September. But the end of the year will also be busy for the Chanel group brand. Next up are store openings in Kiev sometime in November. Then it is onto St. Bart’s in the Caribbean and Sao Paulo, Brazil in December.

"If we look back at our policy since 2010, we initially focused on Europe and the United States, our third largest market after France and Italy," said Olivier Mauny, managing director of Eres. "Today we are starting to look a little further ahead," he said. The Sao Paulo store is the brand's first foothold in Brazil, as is the case for its address in Istanbul, Turkey. These are two firsts for the brand, not counting the opening of the first shop-in-shop in Moscow, Russia this year.

While Eres is setting up shop in these new markets, it is also planning to consolidate its position in the United States next year, looking at cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Miami and Boston as well as the United Kingdom, where it may open a second address in London.
