EPCH to hold ‘Virtual Textiles Fair’ from Monday
Jun 10, 2020
The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts will hold a ‘Virtual Textiles Fair’ online trade show from June 15 to 18, and expects over 350 exporters, manufacturers, and buyers to participate.
After recently holding its first-ever online edition of the India Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Show, the EPCH will hold an online textiles trade show starting next Monday, the organisation announced on its Facebook page. As trade shows remain cancelled for the foreseeable future, the EPCH aims to help textile businesses gain orders and restart operations through digital networking.
The virtual trade show will feature textiles, floor coverings, and home furnishings, according to the EPCH. It will take place as part of its India Handicrafts and Gifts Fair trade show enterprise. The IHGF describes itself as “Asia’s largest gifts and handicrafts fair."
The 49th of the IHGF Delhi Fair was scheduled to take place in the capital from April 15 to 19, 2020, and had been postponed from previous dates in February.
The trade show could not take place due to the pan-India lockdown and the coronavirus pandemic. The EPCH plans to hold more virtual fairs into the month of July to boost trade in the industry.
