Jewellery manufacturers and brands from Indian cities including Delhi, Noida, Agra, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, Gurugram, Kolkata, Varanasi, Amritsar, and Faridabad among others are exhibiting their latest designs on the IFJAS website for its first ever digital trade show. Buyers are able to register to view the exhibitors’ products online with categories including semi-precious jewellery, fashion jewellery, accessories, handbags, hair accessories, embroidered accessories, and footwear among others.

The trade show, organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, has made registration free to encourage importer and buyer participation, it announced on Facebook. Each participating brand has a ‘virtual booth’ from which to showcase its products. The online interface also facilitates interactions between exhibitors and buyers.

Participating brands include Sehaj Impex, Meenakari Jewellery, and Accessories by Nupur among others. The online fair has a special focus on handicrafts and sustainable products and even includes designer protective wear.

“We are all part of the ‘New Normal’ now,” the EPCH announced on Facebook as it launched the online trade show on Monday. “The fashion jewellery and fashion accessory manufacturing industry’s resilience continues to stand the test of time. Reforms are in progression as the industry adapts to new ways to connect sellers with buyers and trade visitors, helping each other maintain physical distances, tide over travel and time constraints as well as save costs and recover from loss of business due to the pandemic. Besides, the shows must go on and continuance to meeting suppliers be maintained in preparation for the seasons to come.”
