Santacruz, the suburban district of Mumbai, is the new location for Ensemble’s multi- designer boutique.

Ensemble's new address opened on the 11th August in Mumbai - Ensemble- Facebook

August 11th saw the opening of Ensemble’s new Mumbai address that will see the boutique step into a more than 4,000 square foot store on one of Santacruz’s leafy lanes. More designers will be stocked and a great focus has been put on the interior design. Vinod Nakar took charge of the design which is a mix of modern minimalism and traditional Indian, much like the clothing Ensemble sells.

Tina Thiliani- Parikh, the founder and Executive Director of the firm, said of its new venture, “Ensemble has been in Bandra for eight years now. Over the years, Mumbai’s suburbs have evolved immensely. We want to offer them the best of Indian fashion, and felt the need to move to a bigger space to do so. This better-appointed store will help us bring the true ‘Ensemble experience’ to the suburbs.”

Both New Delhi and Mumbai are seeing designers and boutiques open in more diverse areas of the cities where they can source a wider variety of buildings that suit their needs and Ensemble is no exception.

It first opened as a multi- designer fashion boutique in 1987 and started by selling clothing by five designers including Tarun Tahiliani who remains one of the main focuses of the store. Like before, there will be a special section of the boutique dedicated to the designer in the new Ensemble store.
