Ensemble brings Sri Lankan brand KT Brown to India

Multi-brand luxury Indian fashion retailer Ensemble has brought Sri Lankan womenswear brand KT Brown to India and has exclusively launched the label in-store and online.
KT Brown’s latest collection mixes experimental silhouettes with wearable, natural textiles. Using pure cottons and linens in lieu of synthetic fibres, the brand also has a focus on sustainability.
The label's garments are designed with a foundation of triangle, circle, and square pattern pieces, which are sewn together with a single seam to create clothes that drape in a sculptural and fluid manner. The brand uses a neutral colour palette with sparing pops of colour and has a relaxed, yet artistic aesthetic.
Kanchana Thalpwala launced KT Brown in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2009, after studying fashion at famed design school Central Saint Martins in London, UK. Thalpwala’s brand has a team of six people and produces garments sustainably to ensure minimum wastage and fair trade practices.
Ensemble also recently launched womenswear brand Injiri’s spring/summer collection ‘Teej’ at its Kala Ghoda store in Mumbai, and held a meet-and-greet with the brand’s designer Chinar Farooqui on January 24.
Ensemble retails a wide array of luxury Indian womenswear and menswear brands including Tarun Tahiliani, Dabiri, Amit Aggarwal, Nomada, and Vipul Shah, among others.
