Emami Ltd is looking to strengthen its presence in the international markets and expects revenue to grow during the current financial year.

The company has a strong presence Middle East and North Africa, SAARC, CIS and the EU nations which contribute significantly to the company’s overall revenues.
 
Emami expects revenue from key global markets to grow further during the fiscal year 2019-20 and will also be expanding its presence in Sri Lanka through a manufacturing facility.

"We will deepen our focus on the international markets... We are launching differently positioned products and revamped the logistics system to distribute them wider and deeper," Emami Ltd’s managing director Sushil Goenka said in the company's latest annual report.
 
"While the promoters help chart out a strategic direction, the professional will address day-to-day operations. With trade channels regaining vitality in the wake of GST implementation, the global trade scenario showing improvement. The company was poised to capitalise in the current fiscal,” Goenka added.
 
During the last six months, the promoters of Emami Ltd have sold 20 percent in the company in two tranches for around Rs 2,830 crore ($410 million) to reduce debt.
 
Founded in 1974, Emami Limited is one of the leading personal and healthcare businesses in India, with a portfolio of over 300 products.
