Emami Ltd Q4 net profit rises three-fold to Rs 88 crore

FMCG major Emami Ltd witnessed a three-fold rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 88 crore ($12.1 million) for the quarter ended March 31, as against a net profit of Rs 23 crore it had reported in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 37 percent to Rs 731 crore, as against Rs 533 crore it had reported in the year-ago period.
 
Commenting on the results, Mohan Goenka, director at Emami Ltd, in a statement said: “The company's domestic business grew by 44 percent and international business grew by 28 percent in the March 2021 quarter and we continued to improve our sales and profitability quarter-on-quarter.”

Harsha V Agarwal, director Emami Ltd, added: “All major brands of the company grew over 30 percent during the quarter with the healthcare range's performance leading the growth chart. With our focus on digitisation and evolved business strategies, we are confident of continuing the growth momentum in the long run despite the second wave of Covid-19.”
