Elie Saab launches in India at Le Mill
Elie Saab is now available in the Indian market at multi-brand fashion boutique Le Mill. The Lebanese designer’s eponymous label launched in the country with its latest luxury womenswear offering, Le Mill announced on Facebook.
Le Mill retails a wide range of international luxury labels including Chloe, Zimmerman, Sacai and Balenciaga among others. The boutique is located in Colaba, Mumbai and Le Mill also runs an e-commerce store.
“Even if Elie Saab is known by the Indian crowd, we were waiting for the right opportunity to launch on the Indian market,” Saab told Vogue India. “We are excited to launch at The Mill which is the perfect concept store to do so, they have a careful selection of international luxury designers and clientele who are looking for feminine and yet sophisticated collections.”
Internationally, Elie Saab is expanding its product selection to move towards becoming a lifestyle brand with the launch of ‘Elie Saab Maison’. The home design line reflects the sculptural elegance of the brand’s garments.
“One of my haute couture collections, the spring/summer ‘16, was a tribute to India,” said Saab about his history with the country. “I love the richness of the culture that is translated through the fabrics, the colours and the jewellery. I also find Indian women very beautiful, and it is always a pleasure to dress them either on the red carpet or for private occasions.”
