Eleven Eleven launches exclusive collection online via Matchesfashion

Fashion brand Eleven Eleven has tied up with UK luxury fashion retailer Matchesfashion to create an exclusive gender-neutral collection online and plans to launch a menswear line with Italian label Stoffa.

Eleven Eleven has created an exclusive capsule collection to retail online in the UK through multi-brand retailer Matchesfashion, as part of its international edit. The collection, which is was altered to fit the ‘new-normal’ and changing consumer tastes, will be a major stepping stone as the Indian brand expands internationally.
 
“We participated in a showroom in Paris in October last year, called LE 31, where we met the head menswear buyer of Matchesfashion, Damien Paul,” Eleven Eleven’s co-founder and creative director, Mia Morikawa, told Vogue India about how the collection came about.

“By December the order was confirmed. What was developed as an exclusive ‘Travel’ capsule line had to be shifted to a relaxed elegant work-from-home/sheltering-in-place look by the time we delivered it in May.”

The coronavirus pandemic has brought an increased focus to people’s homes, according to Eleven Eleven. As customers are increasingly interested in showing their style through their homes, as well as their clothing, the brand foresees a rise in the importance of offering lifestyle products for a well rounded product selection.

Eleven Eleven also plans to collaborate with Italian label Stoffa to create a made-to-measure menswear line made from up-cycled fabrics, the brand told Vogue India. The brand also plans to tie-up with Net-a-Porter’s menswear e-commerce site Mr Porter in the near future. 

“Tatter Blue Library in New York is a huge resource for craft-lovers in the city, so we are partnering with them on DIY knitting kits to share the joy of making,” said Morikawa about the brand’s future plans.
