Ekaya digitally launches festive collection Everafter

Womenswear brand Ekaya launched its festive 2022 collection with an online showcase set in a luscious garden, as the brand explored realms of fantasy and intrigue.

Dubbed 'Everlast,' the brand chose to launch its latest collection with a paired-down photoshoot, broadcast on its Facebook page, which enabled the designs to speak for themselves against a backdrop of greenery. The simplicity of the collection launch reflects the realities of the ongoing pandemic but the collection itself offered a sense of hope and escape. 
 
The collection is, “an array of modern silk lehengas and versatile tunics,” the brand announced on Facebook. “The collection presents a dreamy visual of an extraordinary world of women adorned with blooming flowers evoking a celebration of romantic oddities.”

Everafter’s dreamy pastel colour palette is punctuated by vibrant reds and deep navy blues and silhouettes range from traditional to completely fantastical. Capes and floaty layers over anarkalis give a fairytale feel and more structured, tailored kurta and suit sets keep the collection modern. The full collection retails on Ekaya’s e-commerce store. 
 
Ekaya has a history of over 120 years and works with a community of over 10,000 handloom weavers, according to its website. The brand has collaborated with a number of Indian designers and labels including House of Masaba, Abraham & Thakore, Misho, and Plan Clan, among others.
