Edun recruits new artisitc director from Alexander Wang

Edun has announced the arrival of its new artistic director replacing Sharon Wauchob, who showed for the last time New York Fashion Week after a six-season collaboration. Danielle Sherman - the new recruit – will work take over the position in the Brooklyn studios. For the past five years, the designer has worked at Alexander Wang where she was head of design at T by Alexander Wang. Prior to that, Danielle Sherman co-founded The Row with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Irish Sharon Wauchob, who arrived at the company shortly after LVMH took a 49% stake in the company, will continue to work on her eponymous collection that shows in Paris, where she currently resides. Edun’s chief executive Janice Sullivan said: “We want to thank Sharon Wauchob for her vital role in refining the brand. She has been instrumental in laying the foundation for Edun’s future growth and we wish her every success with her own line.” Edun is a sustainable luxury brand that was founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono.
