Ebay joins forces with Kerala Ayurveda for international growth
E-commerce business Ebay has joined forces with Kerala Ayurveda and will create an exclusive showcase of Ayurvedic products with the aim of enabling Kerala Ayurveda to promote its goods internationally.
Ebay will exclusively promote Kerala Ayurveda products in the U.S. as part of its new partnership with the brand which manufactures a wide range of Ayurvedic products in Kerala. Following the U.S. launch, Ebay will take the initiative to other countries, it said in a statement.
“We are extremely pleased to associate with Kerala Ayurveda USA as their business partners, to help them expand in the US market and beyond,” said Ebay’s India country manager Vidmay Naini, the Press Trust of India reported.
“There has been a dynamic shift in the online shopping approach in a social distancing era and latest research has shown that India's e-commerce sector ranks ninth globally in cross border growth.”
“As part of this endeavour, partnering with Kerala Ayurveda is a step in enabling sellers to embrace the 'Local to Global',” said Naini.
Ebay India has been vocal about promoting domestically manufactured goods in line with the Union Government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign.
“We are thrilled to pioneer the introduction of the first Ayurveda natural products to meet California's high quality standards, as outlined in Prop 65,” said Kerala Ayurveda’s parent company Katra Group chairman Ramesh Vangal, the Press Trust of India reported.
“A unique feature of Kerala Ayurveda, USA is that the company is the largest vocational Ayurveda Academy in the country with 2,500 alumni trained with certified courses ranging from 625 - 2,500 hours of formal education.”
