EPCH to take Indian businesses to China New Year Festival & Import Commodity Expo 2020 in January

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts will bring a group of Indian businesses to the upcoming China New Year Festival & Import Commodity Expo in Chengdu in January 2020.

The EPCH is organising the participation of Indian handicrafts businesses in the upcoming trade show which will take place from January 14 to 21 at the Convention & Exhibition Center of Century City in Chengdu, China, the organisation announced in a media release on its website. The trade show will give Indian businesses the opportunity to showcase their products to an international audience and retail sale opportunities will also be available.

The China (Sichuan) New Year Festival & Import Commodity Expo 2020 is organised by the Chinese Government and supported by the Sichuan Marketing Association. The trade show will be spread across nine halls with an area of over 90,000 square metres and will house around 3,000 exhibitors, 500 of which will be international.

The event expects 300,000 Chinese visitors and 30,000 Chinese wholesale businesses. The event will cover product categories including fashion consumer goods, home décor, and handicrafts among others. At its previous edition, the event recorded close to 30,000 distributors and buyers as well as 1.55 million customers over the course of its 2019 event. 

Submissions for participation from Indian businesses to the EPCH are due by October 25, 2019. Participating brands chosen by the EPCH will be housed in the Indian Pavilion at the event.
