The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts will bring a group of Indian businesses to the 126th edition of the Canton Fair, Phase 3, which will run from October 31 to November 4, to promote their products in Guangzhou, China.
The upcoming 2019 edition of the Canton Fair, also known as the China Import and Export Fair, will welcome a group of Indian handicraft businesses along with its other international exhibitors. The EPCH will help Indian businesses promote their goods at the event to a range of international importers, agents, buyers, distributors, textile buyers, and design teams among other industry professionals, the organisation posted on its website.
Product categories set to feature at the trade show include fashion jewellery and accessories, home décor, lighting, and furniture among others. The EPCH is offering a number of Indian businesses subsidised booth rates to encourage participation as part of its work to increase Indian exports in the handicrafts sector in line with the central government’s “Make in India” campaign.
The twice-yearly trade show is organised by the Chinese Export Commodities Fair and expects around 25,000 exhibitors this winter. The trade show recorded 200,000 trade visitors at its 125th edition and expects a similar turnout for this edition.
