EPCH opens applications for 49th IHGF Delhi Fair

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts has opened applications for participants in the 49th IHGF Delhi Fair which will showcase products spanning categories from textiles to fashion accessories.

The 49th IHGF Delhi Fair, which will take place in the capital from April 15 to 19, 2020, and will promote Indian handicrafts businesses to a domestic and international buyer audience. The trade show, organised by the EPCH, aims to give Indian businesses a platform from which to network and increase their business to business contacts. Applications for participation are now open and will remain so until November 30, 2019, the EPCH posted on its website.

The fair will feature businesses that retail goods including textiles, fashion jewellery, leather goods, fashion accessories, handcrafted garments, cotton and jute bags, home furnishings, gift items, and decorative items. The EPCH has given eco-friendly products, items made from natural fibres, and Zardozi and Chikankari textile handicrafts a special mention as it increases its focus on sustainability.

The EPCH recently held its most recent edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair from October 16 to 20 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida. The EPCH was founded in 1986 as a non-profit organisation to promote Indian handicrafts internationally. The organisation works with the Ministry of Textiles and holds a number of trade shows annually.
